In the modern age of flight, from the airplane, to jumbo jets and even space flight, man is still seeking the purest form of flight.
The dream of pure soaring flight dates back centuries. Otto Lilienthall recorded some of the first hang gliding flights as early as 1893. Even Wilbur and Orville Wright started their careers in flight with a hang glider.
Since the revival of hang gliding in the late sixties and early seventies, hang gliders have evolved into efficient foot launched soaring machines. The modern Hang glider is fully tested for strength and stability, by the H.G.M.A.. It is capable of flights to 300 miles, and reach altitudes of 17,000 feet, in the hands of a qualified pilot.
The modern hang glider and pilot can often be equipped with radios, instruments, oxygen and emergency parachutes.
The modern hang glider brings man closer to that form of pure soaring flight without growing feathers.
So.... Are you READY to
defy gravity?
